This Moment

...not as desperate. This morning I awoke to black diarrhea but minimal bleeding. The diarrhea was from the increased dose of Natural Hydrocortisone. I cut back on the dosage. Bleeding was self contained so I was able to go to work. It's bad when screening child abuse referrals feels like a break. I came home to minimal, self-limited bleeding. I still don't know what to do...

Dr. Saylor sent an e-mail writing: The most effective way to stop the bleeding would be a rhinotomy with complete removal of all nasal tissue of the left side or both and then spray the site with SurgiFoam. Cost would depend upon time in surgery and postop recovery especially if a transfusion is needed. Uncomplicated and home the next day would be ~ $2500. 

In response to a question regarding the procedure, Dr.Saylor wrote, If I knew for sure that the procedure would stop the bleeding I would be jumping up and down to get it done. It effectively removes all nasal tissue and should stop the bleeding but since we don't know the cause I can't tell you that it is 100% guaranteed. 

I Can't

...do this anymore. She won't stop bleeding. The licking and congestion are driving me crazy. I have no more money. I can't euthanize her. I can't take care of her - I have to work. It has been nine months. I have no life. I can't take this anymore. I need help. Is there anyone who can care for her?

Nuki's home and doing well. She hemorrhaged from her left nostril for nearly two days. The longest bleed so far. She was hospitalized and transfused. The bleeding finally subsided. More details when we all get some sleep. Today is the 8th month anniversary of the MRI and Nuki's first nosebleed.

Halloween

Pinuki started a nosebleed at 10PM last night. She has been bleeding for nearly 20 hours. I am waiting to hear from the vet. Why won't my dog stop bleeding!!!!!! Where can I get her help?
