I would prefer that there was no arterial blood but if you are seeing it mixed with mucus she probably has a mild form of atrophic rhinitis. This is not uncommon following rhinotomy or any significant loss of turbinate tissue. It is generally very responsive to Doxycycline, 5mg/Kg q 12 hours. Everything is very encouraging.
