The ligation of Pinuki's left carotid artery and the Doxycycline have significantly reduced the bleeding. I do not worry as much about her bleeding out and needing another transfusion. Nuki's gums appear "pinker." Her energy level has increased. I have stopped giving her Tramadol for pain and there is nothing to indicate that she needs it. Although, I am perfectly aware it is extremely difficult to assess her pain so I am constantly looking for even the subtlest changes. Pinuki's ear infection, after one treatment and a day of probiotics, is getting better. Of course, all this is good news. However, I am waiting for the bleeding to stop to completely exhale.
