Diet

I believe food is medicine. What has worked for my dogs is a raw diet. Prior to the epistaxis, Nuki's diet consisted of:

Morning
Raw meaty bones: chicken necks/backs, pork necks, beef necks/ribs, turkey necks. Canned pink salmon, sardines (packed in water)

Evening (rotating brands and protein sources):
Aunt Jeni’s Home Made Raw Diet (lamb, beef, rabbit, turkey, goat)
Primal Formulas Raw Diet (duck, pheasant, quail, venison)
Honest Kitchen (dehydrated) Zeal (wild-caught white fish)
Dairy: Yogurt (cow/goat), kefir, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese

Since Nuki became ill, I have adjusted her diet some, primarily to limit blood thinning ingredients, foods that might interfere with her medications, and "warm" foods.  Her current diet includes but is not limited to:

Morning
Liver (calves, chicken, lamb)
Pumpkin
Beans

Evening (rotating brands and protein sources):
Aunt Jeni’s Home Made Raw Diet (lamb, beef, rabbit)
Primal Formulas Raw Diet (duck, pheasant, rabbit)

Treats
            Apricots (fresh and dried)
            Dates

Pinuki drinks filtered water.
